Windows XP comes bundled with a software application known as Firewall. Windows XP Firewall service can get corrupted. Then it has to be manually uninstalled with Windows XP help. Windows XP is an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers. It is widely used on home and office desktops, laptops and even media centers. The Windows XP operating system comes in several versions. All versions of Windows XP include the Firewall service. This is a more reliable and stable Windows version than any of the predecessors. The Graphical User Interface in Windows XP is commonly seen as user friendly, which was what Microsoft had intended and designed.

For you to uninstall the Windows XP Firewall service, you must firstly disable and stop the service, so that it does not come up for use with Windows XP help. The service if you want to put it to use later, can be had at any time. You just have to reinstall it afterwards. When you want to uninstall the Firewall service, see that you are not connected to the internet. You have to disconnect from the internet first, and then uninstall the Firewall service.

Instructions for Uninstall of Firewall Service

  • Hit on the Start button of your Windows XP operating system from your computer. Navigate to the Control Panel option. Hit open the Control Panel.
  • Hit open the Performance and Maintenance option, and then hit the Administrative Tools option.

  • Hit open the Services option, and the Services dialog box which will then come up on the screen.
  • Hit opens the Windows Firewall /Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) option, and then hit on the Properties option.
  • You can now hit the Disabled option from the Startup type list, and then the Stop button. Hit on the Apply button, and then hit the OK button. The Windows XP Firewall Service will be uninstalled for you.
